BT appoints Sungdae Kim as managing director in South Korea

BT today appointed Sungdae Kim to the position of managing director of BT Korea. In his new role, Sungdae will be responsible for BT’s operations and business initiatives in South Korea.

During more than 24 years working with major technology companies, including IBM and AT&T, Sungdae held leadership positions in sales strategy development, revenue generation and customer relations management, with a particular focus on service solutions, network outsourcing and connectivity services. He joined BT in June 2008. Most recently, Sungdae led the sales team of BT Korea, contributing to the growth of the company in the country.

Kevin Taylor, president, BT Asia, Middle East & Africa said: “South Korea is a powerhouse in the global economy and a very important market for BT. Sungdae’s experience in the industry and his excellent knowledge of Korea’s business environment will be great assets for our customers, both in Korea and in the region.”

Sungdae Kim, managing director of BT Korea: “Korean companies are expanding all around the world, and BT is ideally placed to help them accelerate that growth thanks to its own global reach and its broad portfolio of networked IT services. BT itself is expanding and investing in Asia Pacific. I am therefore very excited and honoured to lead BT Korea at this crucial time. BT’s teams in Korea and across the wider region are ready to grab the many opportunities that lie ahead.”
