BT launches conferencing services in Latin America

BT Conferencing, one of the world’s leading providers of collaboration solutions, today launched its services in Latin America, marking further growth in the conferencing market.

Businesses of all sizes in Latin America can now take advantage of BT Conferencing’s full suite of collaboration tools designed to increase productivity and efficiency, reduce travel costs, and improve the effectiveness of day to day meetings. BT has established a new Customer Service Centre (CSC) in Peru to provide local language support for BT Conferencing in Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish to support the launch of the service.

Alex Elston, general manager of BT Conferencing in Latin America, said: “We are proud to launch our market leading solutions for businesses in Latin America. Our focus is on making meetings more effective for our customers. We offer the latest technology available for unified collaboration, a flexible deployment model and have people around the globe with the know-how to help customers and make it all
work together.

“Alongside our market leading communication tools, we plan to launch a new service that will combine Dolby expertise in audio with BT’s world-class capabilities in communications. It will provide a truly knockout audio experience for our Latin American customers.”

BT Conferencing provides audio, video and web conferencing and collaboration services for corporate customers around the world. It is one of the largest and fastest growing Collaboration Service Providers (CSPs) in the world with more than 47,000 businesses in 170 countries worldwide and more than one million end users.

In partnership with Dolby, BT is developing an enhanced audio conferencing service, BT MeetMe with Dolby Voice for more natural and effective audio meetings. In addition to the existing BT MeetMe capability, the new service will provide an innovative voice separation technology which distributes sound from different directions (just like being around a meeting room table); along with background noise reduction and high definition quality.

BT Meet Me with Dolby Voice will be launched globally (including Latin America) later in 2013/14.
