BT’s retail specialists, BT Expedite has been working with Phase Eight, the leading women’s fashion retailer, to launch a new website for its new plus size brand, Studio 8. The website has been designed to offer customers optimal viewing and interaction across a range of devices.

Following the successful launch in February 2015 of Phase Eight’s website, the company wanted to ensure that their new Studio 8 website www.studio-eight.com followed the same model and was created with enhancing the customer’s journey in mind. The new website will focus on customer service and a seamless experience for customers across mobile, tablet or desktop without the need for multiple channels or less sophisticated solutions to support each device.

Customers will also benefit from a view tier enhancement, allowing them to navigate the website with greater ease and locate items quicker. In addition, an updated merchandising system will help highlight products in a way that stimulates and entices customers. Overseas customers will also benefit from the website supporting a wider range of currency options.

Asif Khetani, director of e-commerce at BT Expedite, said: “A seamless shopping experience across every channel or device is a basic expectation for customers in today’s digitally connected world. By using BT Expedite’s ecommerce service-led platform, Studio 8 will be able to take advantage of the latest tools to enrich the shopping experience and drive sales.”
Louise Salt, marketing and online trading director at Phase Eight, said: “With the introduction of Studio 8, it was very important to us that the website reflected our brand identity and engaged our customers in an effective way. We’ve worked closely with BT Expedite on the delivery of the site and are pleased with the mix of improved functionality, usability and design enhancements to offer the customer both an enjoyable and seamless shopping experience.”

About Phase Eight

Studio 8 is an exciting new brand created exclusively for fashion discerning women size 16 to 24 who deserve premium and stylish clothing for every occasion. Derived from established womenswear brand Phase Eight, Studio 8 delivers exceptional quality through beautiful fabrics, exclusive prints and flattering shapes with the aim being to provide women with contemporary wardrobe pieces that look and feel amazing to wear. Launching in July 2015 in selected UK & International department store concessions including John Lewis, Debenhams and House of Fraser, the brand will also be available to buy from its dedicated website www.studio-eight.com.

Phase Eight was first established by Patsy Seddon in London in 1979. As a mother with young children Patsy found buying practical and fashionable clothing that was both affordable and sophisticated impossible. In response she began designing her own pieces and launched ‘Phase Eight’ in a small boutique in Wandsworth Common. The name originated from a combination of P. Hayes, Patsy’s maiden name, and the address of our first shop, 8 Bellevue Road.
