BT Sport hits the bullseye with BDO World Professional Darts Championship

Darts fans will have their eye on the bullseye after BT Sport signed a deal to broadcast the BDO World Professional Darts Championship live from the Lakeside Country Club in January 2015.

BT Sport will be at the Surrey venue to show the global elite take the oche over 35 hours of coverage from the British Darts Organisation (BDO) World Championships between Saturday, January 3 and Sunday, January 11. The deal sees BT Sport share live coverage of the Championship with the BBC.

Darts fans will be able to tune in to watch their heroes, including three times winner Martin Adams, three times runner-up Tony O’Shea and 2013 winner Scott Waites battle it out to be named world champion.

BT Sport will broadcast live each night throughout the tournament, bringing the best coverage from each evening until the tournament culminates in the final. The tournament will see 40 men and 16 women compete for global glory.

Coverage will be presented by experienced front-man Ray Stubbs with Helen Skelton reporting on all the action throughout the nine days of entertainment.
