BT to offer SAP solutions with T-Systems in BT’S Cloud of Clouds Ecosystem

Summary

BT and T-Systems today announced a collaboration agreement focused on the delivery of cloud services for SAP® solutions.

BT and T-Systems today announced a collaboration agreement focused on the delivery of cloud services for SAP® solutions. The agreement will enable BT to connect its customers to T-Systems’ data centres hosting SAP cloud capability, providing access to Dynamic Services for SAP® solutions. BT customers will benefit from access to SAP business applications and operational services for SAP HANA ® “as-a-service” managed by T-Systems.

BT customers can access the SAP services hosted in T-Systems data centres via BT Cloud Connect. Cloud Connect builds on BT’s coverage to almost 200 countries and territories with specific Points of Presence located at major internet peering and business hubs around the world. This also leverages Connect Intelligence, BT's application performance management service, for SAP customers. Cloud Connect already provides high performance and secure network connectivity to cloud services from leading providers such as Microsoft, Amazon, or Salesforce as well as from BT’s own Cloud Compute offering.

BT Compute for SAP® solutions is a platform-as-a-service offering that takes full advantage of the T-Systems heritage as one of SAP’s largest platform and hosting partners. It will be delivered as a managed service through a single service desk and supported by highly qualified technical desks that proactively manage and assure quality of service.

Luis Alvarez, Global Services CEO, BT, said: “The strength of BT’s Cloud of Clouds portfolio strategy relies largely on the combination of the quality and expertise of our ecosystem of partners and our own cloud services integration capabilities. T-Systems is one of the world’s leading experts when it comes to SAP solutions in the cloud, and we are very happy to combine their SAP capabilities with our own global network and cloud services integration strengths into a unique offering for the benefit of our customers."

Reinhard Clemens, CEO T-Systems, said: “This collaboration between BT and T-Systems will deliver a high quality end-to-end service to customers, leveraging both organisations’ strengths in IT and networking. As the world’s largest service provider of SAP solutions, T-Systems will bring the expertise of our dynamic, cloud-based SAP services to BT’s extensive customer base in the UK and Continental Europe.”

BT Compute for SAP® solutions will be available to customers from early 2017 in the UK and Continental Europe.
