Iconic BT Tower is proud to host exclusive event for city experts with Google

On Thursday 22nd May, BT Tower, one of the UK’s most iconic locations, which has been closed to the public since 1980, opens its doors for an exclusive Google event for their City Experts. London's top City Experts – who write local reviews on Google Maps – will be given the chance to travel to the top of one of the tallest towers in the UK as it celebrates its 50th anniversary for an exclusive photography lesson with, critically acclaimed London-based commercial photographer and Art Director, Andy Fallon.

The BT Tower has been named by City Experts as the number one exclusive location in London that they would most like to visit.

Therefore a select group of them have been invited to an event at the Tower, which will include a talk from Leo Hollis, author of ‘Decoding the City’ on how London has ‘grown-up’ thanks to the building of skyscrapers as well as a brief history of the
BT Tower from expert David Hay. Visitors will then be given a photography lesson, teaching them how to make the most of the BT Tower’s incredible panoramic views across London from the 34th floor.

Pete Oliver, Commercial Director of BT’s Consumer Division from BT commented, “We are very proud to be opening our doors to the City Experts and sharing the wonderful vista from the BT Tower with such an enthusiastic group. The BT Tower has been an iconic part of the London skyline for 50 years so it is a must-see landmark for any passionate Londoner.”
