BT recognised by Bosch for sustainability

BT today announced it has been honoured with a Bosch Global Supplier Award in the Sustainability category.

The award recognises BT’s sustainability and Net Zero contribution from among 35,000 suppliers to the world-leading technology and services company, headquartered in Germany.

“I’m thrilled to receive this recognition on behalf of BT as it’s been awarded by one of our long-standing customers that places the environment at the core of its business purpose,” said Sarwar Khan, head of digital sustainability, BT. “It’s a great endorsement of BT’s sustainability credentials and our commitment to become a Net Zero carbon emissions company by 2031. It also helps build momentum for our range of digital sustainability solutions that help our customers on their own journeys to Net Zero as part of BT’s commitment to help customers avoid 60 million tonnes of CO2.”

Dr. Arne Flemming, head of supply chain management at Bosch, said, “Sustainable supply chains strengthen global prosperity and benefit society. We especially honour our suppliers’ commitment to climate action with an award in the special ‘Sustainability’ category.”

About the Bosch Supplier Awards

Every two years, Bosch honours the pick of its suppliers from around the world with the Bosch Global Supplier Award. The technology and services company rewards outstanding performance in the manufacture and supply of raw materials, products, and services. Based on a range of criteria, award-winners are selected in the categories “Purchasing of indirect materials and services,” and “Raw materials and components”. Bosch has been presenting these awards to honour supplier excellence since 1987. The awards are highly regarded in the industry. In the special “Sustainability” category, an interdisciplinary jury evaluates suppliers’ achievements with respect to sustainability. The finalists in this category have a rating of at least A- in the prestigious Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) and are exemplary in their commitment to climate neutrality.
