Members of a new scheme launched by BT Sport can earn commission by referring potential new customers for its sport TV channels, such as pubs and clubs, hotels, gyms, hospitals and bookmakers, to BT Sport’s commercial division.

BT Sport wants companies who are already delivering services to commercial premises to join its new Referrer Commission Scheme. Once a company joins, they can refer prospective commercial customers to BT Sport and if those customers sign up, the company is eligible for a commission payment.

There is no limit in how much members can earn from the scheme with each signed up customer equivalent to one month’s subscription value excluding VAT in commission. For example, a company referring a 300 bed hotel who wanted to take BT Sport in their bedrooms and bars, could earn more than £1,300 in commission.

Bruce Cuthbert, director commercial customers, BT Sport said: “I’m really pleased to announce the launch of our Referrer Commission Scheme today. Not only can companies who join the scheme earn commission, they can also manage a customer relationship from requirements, equipment installation and service through to content provision. BT Sport offers really great value for pubs, clubs and commercial premises.

“This season we have more than doubled the number of games we offer involving Premier League clubs and up to 223 UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League matches means 49 more mid-week match nights on BT Sport for commercial premises.”
